Sound Operator

The Sound Operator would be responsible for running pre-show/transition music as well as sound effects (i.e., doorbell and telephone).  They would take direction from the stage manager with sound cues called over a headset.

The role will be paid a stipend of $400 and would need to be available evenings during tech week (May 11-14) plus all performances.

Stage Manager – POSITION FILLED

The Stage Manager would be responsible for assisting the director with the rehearsals (located in St. Louis Park) from April 13 – May 8.  They would manage the rehearsals and performances once moving into the Plymouth Playhouse on May 11.

Weekly responsibilities would include:

  • Managing rehearsals and actor call times.
  • Sending out rehearsal and performance reports to keep the entire production team informed.
  • Calling the show for sound/light cues.
  • Schedule and lead any requested production team meetings.

The role will be paid a stipend of $1,000.

Costume Designer – POSITION FILLED

The Costume Designer would be responsible for costuming the actors in the show’s time period of 1940s in America.  The story takes place over 4 days with ten characters (not all characters are seen each day).

The role would be given a rental / purchase / laundry budget of $400 (preference is to rent from local connections where possible; amount could be increased if needed).  The role will be paid a stipend of $400.

Weekly responsibilities would include mending and laundering costumes during performance weekends.  Additionally consistent communication with the stage manager and producers is expected.

What if a nosey neighbor witnesses suspicious events the night a wealthy aunt passes away? Naturally she’d pop in after the funeral with questions.

A nosey neighbor pops in for a visit after assuming a policeman’s arrival is for a murder investigation. The family scoffs at her saying the wealthy aunt died of natural causes. But when questionable details emerge, a niece begins searching for the truth and quickly discovers what effect a little gossip has on an investigation.
